Photo Assignment 6 - Food
This week I chose to do food. I was pressed for time this whole past week, so I didn't have time to go out and shoot pictures. Instead, I just stayed at home and took pictures of household items.

Definition Assignment
For this Photoshop assignment we had to find interesting words and compose a document that included the definition and multiple pictures representing the word. I did geniophobia, which is the fear of chins, to cow, which means to intimidate, and conflagration, which is a large fire.
Photo Assignment 5 - People
For this photo assignment I used pictures of football players that I took on this past Saturday's MSU football game. I got to go down on the field before the game, and got great pictures of the team warming up. I tried to capture the motion of the players while getting crisp shots.

Portrait Demo Assignment
In this assigment, we learned about diffferent ways to take portrait photos, wheter you have a professional setup or are using a simple window setup. I learned how to improve the look of the pictures on Photoshop.
Context Assignment
In this assigment, we had to turn a picture of the school into something unexpected. I took a picture of two of the main buildings and made them into an airport. We learned how to "photoshop" other pictures into a different one.
Photo Assignment 4 - Architecture
I've been looking forward to architecture, because I had so many pictures that could work from past projects. Taking pictures at both MSU and U of M's campus helped a ton. I also went to Chicago for my birthday, so I got even more pictures from there.

Photo Assignment 3 - Black and White
For this assignment, I decided to do black and white. I had a lot of pictures left over from previous assignments and used some of those. It was somewhat difficult to decide if changing a certain picture would change the artistic aspect of it, but at the end, all the pictures looked equally good in black and white.

Panoramic
For the panoramic assignment, we took multiple pictures and linked them together using photomerge in Photoshop. I'm happy that I learned how to do this, becuase I think I'll continue to shooting panoramics.
Nature - Photo Assignment #2
For this assignment, I decided to do nature. It was very difficult to decide what pictures to choose, because I had so many. In general, I really liked shooting nature because there's so many options.
shutter: 1/160 sec
aperture: f/5.8
iso: 800
I had so many pictures, I just decided to put a lot into a slideshow.

Second Photo Assignment
For the second photo assignment, I'm choosing to do nature/landscapes. I already have a lot of pictures that would work under this category that I took last week. I didn't have as much free time as I did for the last photo assignment, so this will be an easier project. Some inspiration I found on flickr is:

Macro - Photo Assignment 1
In my first photo assignment, I chose to take pictures using the setting macro. This setting helps take close-up and focused pictures. I was familiar with this already, but I still liked finding new ideas for it.

2nd Photoshop Assignment
In the second photoshop assignment we used layers and the lasso thing to edit a picture of a car. It was more difficult than the Pop Art assignment, but in all I learned more about Photoshop.

Well the pictures aren't working...it said the images were too big. Oh well!

First Photo Assignment
For the first photo assignment I'm choosing to do macro. I think it seems the most interesting because it makes you look at details and find different perspectives of simple objects. Some examples I like are the two pictures below on Flickr.
dandelion thing
water drop
The picture I like best though, is one of a water drop with a colored background behind it: other water drop

Pop Art
In this assignment we learned how to use Photoshop. We made a simple pop art picture by using a picture we already had, then making three copies and changing the colors.
